Destination Indian wedding in Mexico Puerto Vallarta
Vancouver destination wedding photographer at Hard Rock hotel venue
This was my third destination wedding of this season. The first two of them were in Europe. This one was different. Vancouver Ismaili couple planned their wedding celebrations in a big style. I have photographed their first 3 days which started with Mehdi and followed by celebration at Aria Centre in Surrey the next day. The third day was main wedding day which start at Sheraton Vancouver hotel and continued with sacred ceremony at Burnaby Ismaili centre. Then the next day couple with their family and friends travelled to Mexico. The venue they chosen was at beautiful scenic Nuevo Vallarta. Famous Hard Rock hotel resort surrounded by wild leguans and spectacular sunsets.
While landed at the beach I was still in Vancouver shooting another wedding on the day when they arrived. When I got home from the wedding, I had a quick shower, grabbed second set of memory cards with my travel gear and drove to the airport to catch the first flight to Mexico. I had 2 hours after my arrival to get to know the area before the evening BBQ welcome party started the multi day celebration under the hot tropical sun.
The images you are about to see were created within 4 days. Alnoor and Zaheeda had one freaking awesome party time and I had enjoyed every minute of it. A huge thank you belongs to Nashila from Weddings in the tropics . Her planning skills and sense for details are amazing. If your wedding is taking place in tropics I can strongly recommend her. She will make your dreams come true.
Enjoy.
The Hard Rock hotel simply rocked with its location and amenities. Beautiful beaches stretched for kilometres, pools with exotic drinks were close enough to dive in, food was delicious. The palm tree garden was set up with a huge white tent for the big reception.
Having good times, fun, laughing since you woke up. It was simply cool chilling with these guys around, swimming in clear ocean, watching them play volleyball and then in the evening photograph them at their ceremonies. And the variety of the captured moments was so great. Like Monday Phiti on the beach with approaching monsoon.
A swim in the ocean felt so good afterwards. Guys handled challenge very well including Zaheeda. Even she was not spared some eggs landing on her head and even her bridesmaids could not resist to tease her.
The very next day the wedding reception showed how good party lions these guys were. Not only they were entertaining all the guests in the pools with amazing dance performances that even the animators could not keep up with them. The nights were owned by these guys. Pure fun. I had a blast with them, and their DJ rocked the resort with some freaking cool tune the whole stay. Bollywood did it again. Pure awesomeness. The first look was followed by hot ceremony, couple formals pictures around the beach and then we hit the rewarding shade of the prepared tent.
Partying is my favourite part of any wedding celebration. By the night evrybody had already saw me in action and frankly, no one cars anymore if I have my camera waving around them. That is priceless. To be able to get so close to the crowd and not being watched what I am about to photograph is huge. Guests and the couple already know how I work, I gained their trust and they show off without even thinking about me being around. Photojournalistic paradise.
Photographing events such this destination Indian wedding in Mexico Puerto Vallarta is simple incredible. Yes, you sweat a lot, heat is enormous and the shirt is glued to your back. The cameras are all salty from the ocean air and a glass of water is a lifesaver. Despite all these experiences I am always thrilled to shoot abroad. Traveling is a big passion for me. Growing up in Europe where everything is so close compare to Canada, I simply wondered around every time I could. Maria and I spend a year traveling across south east Asia and we loved it. That is why I hear a wild Indian music at the party my feet starts naturally moving, my hands wants to keep clapping and rhythm of the night fascinate me to photograph it till the end.
Alnoor and Zaheeda, it was my pleasure to spend a week with you during your destination Indian wedding in Mexico Puerto Vallarta. Your families treated me like they knew me for years, your friends let me come close despite my paparazzi looking cameras and you two guys rocked the wedding. Thank you for being yourself and cannot wait to see you at your cousin Aaliya + Fahim destination wedding in Toronto next summer.
