38 Annual wedding fair – Vancouver longest show

Winter is usually not very popular season for weddings in Vancouver. We do photograph them, but what keeps us even more busy are the wedding shows and fairs. This weekend was one of those moments. Westin Bayshore wedding fair took place at the Westin Bayshore hotel for the 38th times. Here is a short preview of how it looked like at our booth.

Our double booth was next to the Bay register, and we have to say the exposure we had there was sometimes hectic. Compare to the September show, this was way bigger and busier. Brides were pretty much rushed with too many vendors to choose from, and there was less time for one on one time with the clients. On the other side, we were really pleased with so many interests of our photography services and we got to know some new amazing clients we are thrilled to work this and the next year. Yes we are already booking 2016 season, because after this show, there is not so many dates left for the prime season with us. It was always sad to see a bride go away from the booth after we told her the date of her wedding is already booked. And this happened couple times this weekend.

This a close up of our amazing art piece –  from florist Alexis Simply flowers which is absolutely amazing. Even the wedding fair florists and decorators approached us asking who did flowers for our booth. What a recognition from a competitor it must have been. Alexis is simply the best florist around and we strongly recommend her to any of our brides.

As I mentioned earlier, 2 days of brides rushing around were simply overwhelming and we were glad after the first day we could have a great to gain some energy for the Sunday roller coaster. The evening dinner and party at the hotel was exchanged for so awaited sleeping and with this kind of view we had from our rooftop suite it was not hard to fall asleep like in a movie 🙂

To summarize this wedding fair experience, we are glad our imagery had again a huge success and despite a big competition of another 15 photographers we are looking forward to come back the next year again.
