Scenic, romantic and modern Coquitlam wedding venue.
When Katherine and Lee saw me for the first time working with my cameras it was not their engagement session. They were guests at one of my last season wedding with Teila+Pavlo. Guys did not hesitate and I was on board as their wedding photographer from early stages of their planning. You can feel it when people have a trust in you. Since we had our first meeting, this is how K+L expressed themselves towards my creative way of photographing weddings. Their engagement was a complete blast and their energy was present on their wedding day since the getting ready part started. What one cannot influence is the nature and weather on a wedding day. So the rainy morning was not very motivating. And even though we knew the whole day it might just pour on us, guys were so calm and happy to have a great wedding time that literally they did not care at all. And we made it work without being wet and soaked in the rain. Getting ready part at Sandman Hotel got actually so creative it became unplanned bride+bridesmaids shoot. Guys were pretty easygoing like usually. The sacred church ceremony with full mass and wisdom priest words were the real great beginning of a new life story for the couple and their families.
I am used to one, two or even five bridesmaids, but eleven of them dancing around the bride and having fun? These girls were simply amazing the whole day.
By looking at these wedding formal portraits at Westwood Plateau parking lot no one would say it was raining and the dusk low light was about to change to night time. We new since the early planning stage that at this time of the year darkness comes early. So Katherine even adjusted the timeline the way so the images could be high on the priority list. And it worked out amazing way despite the harsh chilli rainy weather.
Westwood Plateau country club wedding photographers dream to shoot at the main ballroom with its wooden beams and high ceilings. The venue location, catering and services are top notch. It has always been my pleasure to see very satisfied clients who had weddings here with us. The reception was nothing short of amazing times. First dance entrance, followed by prayer and delicious dinner, speeches filled with love and tears of joy. Money dance a Filipino tradition then brought the crowds to dance floor for more fun and joy. And wait when you see the bouquet and garter toss part 🙂
The big finale of the evening, dancing with parents, money dance and a bit more spicy stuff came right after the cake cutting.
What a great day and fun to photograph experience. Thank you for having me Katherine and Lee.
