Epic helicopter marriage pictures<\/h1>\n

Epic\u00a0in Ancien\u00a0Greek ment a STORY. Every wedding has a story. Erin and Chad had an amazing day filled with sun, love and crazy experience of flying to the reception by the helicopter. Well, that would not be that crazy but the photo shoot they had just before that happened was so awesome. You can read about it in a minute.<\/p>\n

Erin – our bride was all about the scenic shots from the D-day since day one when we met and discussed her plans. Luckily the sun was out since the morning and the great celebration could start with her and girls getting ready at the parents house.<\/p>\n

The guys were getting ready just couple blogs away and these portraits were done just before the ceremony in the beautiful family backyard started.<\/p>\n

Nature was s symbol of this day and the huge tree was the first witness to the I Do of Erin + Chad. All the friends and family members were seated under big tents enjoying the shade and two\u00a0daughters were cute flower-girls.<\/p>\n

A group shot of all guests started the portrait session and right after that we moved to the neighbours flower garden for the bridal party formals.<\/p>\n

\"w_6PP4200\"<\/a> \"w_6PP4282\"<\/a> \"w_6PP9739\"<\/a> \"w_6PP9719\"<\/a> \"w_6PP9766\"<\/a> \"w_6PP9782\"<\/a> \"w_6PP9845\"<\/a> \"w_6PP9886\"<\/a> \"w_6PP9862\"<\/a>\u00a0And then after a short stop at the nearby garage with couple shots of the bridal party at Chads truck and old vintage car we drove\u00a0awya with the bride and groom for their unusual wedding formals pictures.<\/p>\n

The scenic flight above Vancouver mountains range with a secret location where we were dropped off for a short portrait session by Sky Helicopters<\/a>. Allan the pilot made all \/ mine and couple’s \/ wishes to come true. The spot I was hopping for should have great scenic views of peaks, overlooking some lakes and dramatic cliffs so we could create unforgettable landscape style scenes.<\/p>\n

\"w_6PP4432\"<\/a> \"w_6PP4460\"<\/a> \"Epic<\/a> \"w_6PP4506\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As I mentioned earlier, Allan the pilot picked a\u00a0perfect\u00a0landing spot on the top of the mountain you can see above. Sharp rocky edges with couple trees blocking 360 views and the Golden ears peaks far east from us were what I wanted for this photo session. We landed next to a huge rock\u00a0and started to work right away on couple mini stories which IMO will look amazing in their wedding album later on.<\/p>\n

I got off the helicopter first to cover the groom and bride coming out and after a short time once I ran across the plateau where we sat down I chosen couple locations where we shots different styles of the images.<\/p>\n

Starting with opening the Sampagne’s bottle, followed by close portraits of the couple against the sky, then moving around and watching the bride with a glass of wine climbing rocks to get to the point which I chosen for the next shot was simply a great fun, workout but most of all hilarious experience on the roof top of this mountain for all of us.<\/p>\n

Then I asked Allan if we could take off and leave the couple on the top of the cliff and do couple flights around them so I could show and capture the scenery and dramatic shots of them left on abandon mountain style island. And so we did, and again Allan was nothing but amazing and he even took the helicopter door on my side off for me so I could shoot comfortably without the glass in front of me. What can I say, respect man!<\/p>\n

\"Epic<\/a> \"w_6PP4668\"<\/a> \"Epic<\/a> \"Epic<\/a> \"Epic<\/a> \"w_6PP0317\"<\/a><\/p>\n

These are the hardest created images I have ever taken at a wedding so far. Moving helicopter, vibrations and wind, my hands trying to handhold Nikon D3s with 70-200 f2.8 VR II lens and focus on a couple standing couple hundred meters away from us… I had blast and so much fun I wish I could do it at every wedding \ud83d\ude42 Honestly all this what I am describing and images you see we were able to create lasted less then 30 minutes! With all the logistics, moving around, communication how and where to pose… simply marathon of emotional workout on a top of the peak. Priceless. So after we did 2-3 loops around them, I asked the pilot to set me down and pick up the couple instead. So this time I stayed on the peak and the bride took my place with no door in the helicopter and the groom sat behind her. I was hoping to get a shot of the bride and her dress hanging from the sky above us and we just nailed it right there \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The last shot shows the beauty of Garibaldi provincial park at the horizon with Widgeon lake just bellow us… No comment…<\/p>\n

Then we had back to South Surrey for the VIP style bride and groom arrival by a helicopter to the reception. We overflew some really interesting land marks and once we got closer, guests\u00a0had a blast to watch us land right next to them and emotions were really high for all of them. The eating, drinking and dancing could start and what a fun day it was these people will never forget.<\/p>\n

First dance and the epic sunset shot under a huge tree finished our all day long journey with this great couple and I can already tell there is going to be at least couple\u00a0images from this wedding which we will enter in photography competitions in near future.<\/p>\n
