For the second time in two weeks I am back at the Sea to Sky Gondola. And with me Ken and Callie, very easygoing but determine couple who is about to get married. There must me something in the air, because all my couples love my scenic imagery and almost all of them want to have it. And we are not talking about engagement sessions only. It also applies to the weddings. I feel so lucky that imagery I create for my brides and groom evoke even in complete strangers a hunger after them. So get ready because this shoot was again filled with manny of those beautiful sceneries and emotions.<\/p>\n

If you noticed\u00a0the big red bag in Callie’s hands then guess what. Guys got ready for shoot. It was filled with dresses and shoes and Ken\u00a0was not behind with his outfits either. We started with a black and red combo, the sun was still high so a bit of contrast made it pop in the greenish background. It is very hard to come here and does not walk the suspension bridge as a first attraction. This time though we had some restrictions. The reason? When we got up there there was a wedding event running live in front our eyes. So the viewing platform was closed for private event together with the restaurant. Well we were not after those anyways so here they were standing at the bridge and having a moment as an intro to their story.<\/p>\n

By looking at the saturation of the sky you can guess it was a gorges day, a bit hot but a tiny breeze helped us to handle it. We hit the first trail to the Stawamus Chief viewing platform. When I was here two weeks ago we went there as our last location and we barely made it in time so the sun was still filling the peaks with rays of light. Walk trough the dark forest was spiced up by mosquitos who were nuts at some places. But we had great fun and guys got loose way faster then some\u00a0of my other clients.<\/p>\n

As you can see the bags, shoes, suites were not with us. We asked a lady at the gift shop if we could leave all that stuff\u00a0there. This allowed us to move way faster. When we got closer to the viewing platform I juts had a feeling to play a bit with some different lighting set ups and prism portraiture. This is something I started to do just recently and I have to admit I like that triangle in my hands. It can create very cool effects.<\/p>\n

I do not know if it is just me, but when I have my camera in my hand the time seems to fly. This was the same case. The last ride down was at 9PM so we had to rush a bit with the platform shots so we could make it back before they leave us here for an overnight experience with bears.<\/p>\n

Sunset was amazing. No crazy colours in the sky yet soft light barely touching the platform where we were gave it a very romantic feel. Guys were enjoying themselves and I was running around like ninja monkey try to manage as many great compositions as I could before the shade took over the mountain.<\/p>\n

Well guess what? We managed to get to the gondola station 10 minutes before the last ride. The wedding which was supposed to be over by that time was still on so we were allowed to change one more outfit and hit the suspension bridge one more time. This time already is shade the feel of it was completely different. I hope the next couple asks me to photograph here at the sunset \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

I would say even if was asked to come up here 10 times more, I would still feel excited about it. This amazing place is wow. I am looking forward to Ken and Callie’s wedding, guys were so relaxed and pleasure to work with. I can imagine how easy it will be at their getting ready shots for me. And that is what I always repeat to my clients, you might be a bit nervous at the engagement shoot but then on your wedding day you simply say Hi to me in the morning and you stop care about what I do and where I am. And that gives me my freedom to create for you amazing pictures…<\/p>\n
