Science World Engagement portrait with drums and guitar.
Engagement portraits are fun experience not just for the bride and groom to be but also for me. You never know what the story brings in front of you and some has amazing twists. M+E decided to shock me completely. They prepared for their False Creek session very well. Great outfits, matching nicely, props and great attitude for the night. They were hoping to have sunny contrasty and saturated portraits yet sunset did not work out as expected. Well nature is something we cannot control but to have great fun and create own lighting to create extraordinary experience can be done so many ways. And we did it. So where is the shocker. It was hiding in the trunk of their car. Guys love music so they brought their set of drums and guitar to the shoot. Logistics with parking and setting it up took quite a lot yet we managed to do so before the darkness took over the dusk above Vancouver downtown cityscapes. Guys had fun, were spontaneous which is not sometimes easy to photograph in almost complete darkness. The results were simply amazing. Two people in love having great time together with pedestrians watching how they fool around as jazz band at night at Science world with BC Stadium as the epic backdrop behind. This is what I love about being photographer, creating and capturing unique stories. And this one was very special for them. Thank you for being such fun guys to work with and I am looking forward to photograph your UBC Museum of anthropology wedding this summer. Do you have an idea worth capturing in a story for you? Feel free to reach out to me and if available, I would love to create one for you. My name is Jozef Povazan and I am Vancouver wedding photographer.
