Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony in Kelowna Okanagan Valley
Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony photographed by Jozef Povazan Photography
This Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony blog post is following Part 1 story of A+S wedding celebration in Kelowna. This last day of their wedding was filled with emotions and love. As before the celebration took place at Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort. Its convenient location allowed us to enjoy the lake views and also kept us from chilli spring weather.
The ceremony and following reception was all planned by Pardip and her team from Big Phat Indian Weddings. If you have a wedding planner around who takes care of all not just for the bride and groom but also for us vendors, then it is a joy to work with them. Big kudos to them and Thank you for making these couple days as smooth as it could be.
And here without any further due, starts the story of Sachin+Anu on their Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony day photographed by me – Jozef Povazan Photography.
Mom and dad getting ready their son to get married. Classic look of BW era brings a lot of nostalgic feelings to moments like these.
Bride reading a letter from her fiancé and soon husband to be, and feeling out of breath with tears so close to run down her cheeks.
Finishing last details and wedding rings waiting to be taken to barat and from there to wedding ceremony.
Groom trying to get himself to mandap where the ceremony will take place. Mom of bride is trying to grab his nose and his groomsmen as bodyguards are defending their fellow friend with success.
Bride and groom first look at the Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony. What an incredible moment with so electrical atmosphere which made Sachin to cry after he sees Anu in her linga first time.
Outdoor ceremony with guests silently watching this couple being getting married was amazing experience to witness. Sacred rituals during this Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony had many meanings and parents and family members had to be so happy for S+A to bring two families together.
Bride leaving with groom. Ritual which made both bride and mom cry and procession through the hotel with bride throwing the rice over her head and mom collecting the bits of it in her saris were priceless. Emotional and everlasting moments of a married women leaving parents house. Love Indian weddings since there is so much expressions in them and even though I decided to edit this image in BW look at the raw feelings in it.
Evening gala reception which followed a very long day, has more intimate feel to it then previous Mehndi reception, guests were enjoying wedding couple and great food with amazing entertainment filled the evening.
A really traditional Indian Hindu Wedding Ceremony celebration I had an absolute pleasure to photograph.
Thank you for having me to capture this story for you Sachin and Anu, all the best on your new journey and cannot wait to design your wedding album from it for you.
